Remember the days where you could get all you ever needed in life from the Main Street in your town? Main Street Maple Shade, Inc., is a non-profit local group working to bring that nostalgic image into the 21st century. Very few towns anymore have surviving Main Streets, which is why the National Trust for Historic Preservation began the Main Street, USA initiative.
The businesses on Main Street are joining forces to bring you a special night out on the town. Join us on Main St. from 5 pm until 8 pm on August 20. We will have live music, specials at the shops, and even some activities for the children. Check out the musicians sharing their talent to entertain shoppers and the special refreshments being hosted by many of our local businesses. Throughout the month watch for signs in each shop or restaurant that will explain the special they will be honoring on the second “Third Thursday” event. Join your neighbors that will be strolling the street and showing support for our downtown district.
